For The New Year

Happy New Year, Friends!

We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, celebrating Christ’s birth with your families, and hope you are all staying warm with all the snowy weather we've been having! We are excited about getting back to our MOPS meetings this month.  In the meantime, for those who missed the Christmas tea, we have a video of the message that was presented to us by Joyce Schroeder from Cadence.

Joyce shared about things that we have the opportunity to do here on earth that we will not do when we get to heaven.

Here we can share the gospel with others.

Here we can pray for others and bless others.

Here we can practice forgiveness.

Here we can offer grace.

I know that her message resonated really deeply with me, and as I look back on the notes I took from her message, I realize what a great reminder this is for the New Year.  This is the time of year that people make resolutions, and I can’t think of four better goals for 2015 than these.

I would encourage you to watch her message again, and think about what she has said in the context of what the Lord would have you do in 2015 - and I pray that through everything this year might bring, you (and I) will grow closer to Jesus and take advantage of the time we have here to show Him to others!
