For the next couple of weeks I will be pulling our verse of the week scriptures from the If:Equip bible study. This is a daily study that is sent to your email with a short scripture reading, questions to journal and a short video to watch. For more information and to sign up for the If:Equip emails click here.

Read John 14:1-7
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?”Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”

Do you trust Jesus to be your everything? Are there places you don’t trust Him with?

Verse of the Week: Psalm 139:1-6

Read Psalm 139:1-6
O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar.  You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways.  Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it.

What do these verses mean to you? What do they say about God?

We still have another week until our next MOPS meeting. So while we wait I thought we could look back on all the fun we had during the first semester.

September

The first meeting of the year we made name tags.

Here are some of the beautiful creations.

Our second meeting in September we had Kirsten Harbeck come talk to us about Car Seat Safety.

Did you know that 1 out of 4 car seats are installed incorrectly? Click here for the Colorado state patrol's car seat FB page for a list of upcoming car seat safety events.

October

We made cute make-up/snack bags for our purses.

One of my favorite meetings of the year is the Mentor Mom panel. We are so blessed by our mentor moms and thankful for all of their encouragement and mommy knowledge.

Marcia Mains, Sheryl Dahm, Jill Matthies, Jaye Kaufman, Adele Westfall, Robin Otterstetter

November

"You Pick 2" was our first meeting in November. To check out all the information and pictures from the meeting click here.

The next meeting we made cute dangle earrings.

December

Our Christmas Tea was so beautiful! Thank You Wendy for sharing with us!

I hope everyone had a great first semester. What was your favorite meeting? What are you looking forward to most about the next semester?

Verse of the Week: Psalm 25:1-10

Read Psalm 25:1-10
To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. O my God, in you I trust; let me not be put to shame; let not my enemies exult over me. Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame; they shall be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous. Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long. Remember your mercy, O Lord, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old. Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to your steadfast love remember me, for the sake of your goodness, O Lord! Good and upright is the Lord;
therefore he instructs sinners in the way. He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way. All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep his covenant and his testimonies.

What do these verses mean to you? Do you seek God's guidance in everything you do? Are there times when it is hard to wait for God to "lead you and teach you"?

Verse of the Week: Deuteronomy 6:4-9

Read Deuteronomy 6:4-9
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Do you have any scripture written on the walls of your house? Where? Post a picture if you can. When is your favorite time to read scripture with your family? How do you get everyone involved?
